John 1:1-3; Job 38:4, 7; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-19; II Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 12:3-4, 7-9
Well, in the beginning was God and the Word
Then a great creation of angels occurred
When the earth was created, their voices were heard
Singing for joy that day
But one great angel turned into a liar
And filled with hatred and evil desire
Became the father of sin to be punished by fire
And the angels fell away
The angels fell away
Full of beauty and wise as could be
Once created perfect was he
But he exalted himself and sought God’s majesty
And an army he did sway
Of all the angels there numbered a third
That were swept away when rebellion was stirred
And darkness began at the sin that occurred
When the angels fell away
The angels fell away
In a great defiant attempt to acquire
The throne of God to control His empire
The angel rebellion began to conspire
Their maker to betray
And so the angels left their estate
Filled with envy, destruction and hate
And were cast to the earth, now awaiting their fate
For the angels fell away
The angels fell away
The angels fell away
