The Song of Moses
by Matthew Kalliman
Deuteronomy 32; Isaiah 35
CHORUS
Let there be a smile on your face
Let there be a song in your heart
Let there be some truth in your mind
And lots of love, joy and peace to impart to others
Let the world become a new place
Let the country have a new start
Let the world tomorrow be a land without sorrow
Let sighing depart
Hear, O nation, rebellious generation
Listen to the words I tell you
You lived in the fairest land the world had ever known
God blessed you alone
Mighty you had grown
Your Creator, no one could be greater
Set your bounds from sea to sea
And filled the land with blessings that had kept you fed and free
Think about those years of history, and you can
CHORUS
But no one sought Him, everyone forgot Him
In the land that God had given
Growing fat and kicking at their Father high above
Never thinking of
All His boundless love
When God saw He said He would withdraw
And not protect them any more
And let a foolish nation come
To punish them in war
O that you'd considered this before, but you can
CHORUS
Now, all you fearful, come be strong and cheerful
Say goodbye to misery
Your God will come with vengeance and repay the enemy
He'll save you, watch and see
There will surely be
Joy and gladness just around the corner
Don't be sad, don't be a mourner
All God's people will return and come home once again
With songs to sing, and joy that will not end, so you can
CHORUS
Let the world tomorrow be a land without sorrow
Let sighing depart
Let there be a smile on your face
Let there be a song in your heart
Let there be some truth in your mind
And lots of love, joy and peace to impart to others
Let the world become a new place
Let the country have a new start
Let the world tomorrow be a land without sorrow
Let sighing depart
Hear, O nation, rebellious generation
