The Days of Trumpets and Atonement
"Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!' "
(Revelation 11:15)
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed -- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
(I Corinthians 15:51-52)
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven . . . with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
(I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

The Days of Trumpets and Atonement (Leviticus 23:23-32) picture the time of punishment and restoration about to come upon the world (Revelation 8:2, 6; 11:15, 19; Luke 21:22-36; II Peter 3:10-13; I Thessalonians 5:1-9; Revelation 3:10; 6:12-17; 20:1-6; Isaiah 2:1-5, 10-21).
The Day of Trumpets pictures the time when God will shake the heavens and the earth (Isaiah 2:19, 21; 13:13; Haggai 2:6-7, 21-22; Matthew 24:35; Hebrews 12:26-29; Revelation 6:12-17; 16:17-21) and cleanse the world by fire (Isaiah 66:15-16; Zechariah 13:9; 14:12; Matthew 3:12; 13:40-42; Luke 12:49; II Peter 3:10-12; Revelation 3:18; 14:9-12; 16:15-21; 19:20; Daniel 7:11).
The period between Trumpets and Atonement (often called the "Ten Days of Repentance") pictures the time immediately following the Great Tribulation, and preceding the Millennium. During this period God will gather Israel from the nations and purge any remaining vestiges of rebellion from humanity (Ezekiel 20:33-44; Micah 7:16-20; Zechariah 14:16-19; Isaiah 66:23).
The Day of Atonement pictures the time when human survivors from both Israelite and Gentile nations who have come to repentance will be brought into the bond of the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Revelation 7:4, 9, 13-17; Isaiah 49:6, 10; Romans 2:9-11). At the fulfillment of the ceremony of the two goats in Leviticus 16 -- the Lord's goat and Azazel -- 1) the sacrifice of Jesus Christ will be applied to the survivors of the Great Tribulation (Jeremiah 31:34; 50:20), and 2) Satan will be banished from the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-3). God will accept humanity as a whole back into His presence for the first time since He expelled Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden almost 6,000 years ago.
The moment Jesus died on the Passover, the veil in the temple was split in half (Mark 15:37-38). The veil represented the fact that humanity has been cut off from God for nearly 6,000 years, since the time of Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:22-24). After the fulfillment of the Day of Atonement Jesus will lead humanity back into God's presence -- "through the veil," as it were -- into the World Tomorrow. God's presence will fill the earth during the Seventh Millennial Day (Revelation 21:1-5). The Seventh Millennial Day
The Days of Trumpets and Atonement will be fulfilled before the World Tomorrow begins. The millennial age is pictured by the Feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:33-43) which follows the Days of Trumpets and Atonement. The Prophets Upheld the Law of God

God's true Church today is "teacher training school" preparing its members to become leaders under Christ in the World Tomorrow (Isaiah 1:26; Jeremiah 23:4; Ezekiel 34:23; I Corinthians 6:2; Hebrews 2:5-10; Revelation 2:26-27). The Saints in the First Resurrection (I Corinthians 15:22-23; Revelation 20:4-6) will be graduating from "God's School for Eternal Life" while those destined to become the first human generation of the World Tomorrow are being prepared to enter into it.
God wants the Good News of His coming Kingdom to be proclaimed throughout the world at the end of this age in order to prepare an entire generation for the incredible events pictured by the Days of Trumpets and Atonement (Leviticus 23:23-32; Malachi 3:1; 4:5-6; Matthew 24:14; Luke 1:16-17; Revelation 8:2-9:21; 11:3-4). After being refined, corrected and humbled, the human survivors of the Great Tribulation will be eager to receive the education which Christ and the resurrected Saints shall give them in the World Tomorrow (Isaiah 2:3, 10-21; 4:2-4; 30:20-21; 60:21-22; 65:8-25; Jeremiah 31:33-34; 50:20; Ezekiel 5:12; 14:22-23; Daniel 9:24; 12:1; Zephaniah 2:2-3; 3:11-13; Zechariah 13:8-9; Matthew 24:21-22; Romans 11:26-27; Revelation 6:12-17; 7:14-17; 11:15).
