Sodom and Gomorrah
By Matthew Kalliman
II Peter 2:4-9; 3:5-12; Genesis 19:1-29; Ezekiel 16:49-50; Luke 17:28-33; Jude 7
If God spared not the angels that sinned
But cast them down to be chained and imprisoned
And if God brought a flood upon the world of old
Then remember the examples that burned
Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes were turned
To make them illustrate
The final fiery fate
In the coming Tribulation Great upon this world foretold
Sodom and Gomorrah
Living as they pleased
Full of wicked pleasures
Idleness and ease
Sodom and Gomorrah
Brash and unashamed
Till fire and brimstone fell from heaven
And not a trace remained
CHORUS
If God spared not the angels that sinned
But cast them down to be chained and imprisoned
And if God brought a flood upon the world of old
Then remember the examples that burned
Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes were turned
To illustrate the final fate upon this world foretold
Sodom was the very first city
This side of the flood
To turn itself completely over
To the wicked ways it loved
And when the whole world becomes like Sodom
Remember that it was a sign
That as the world was once destroyed by water
So fire will come next time
CHORUS
There was one good man in Sodom
Whom the angels came to see
When he heard their warning message
He prepared his heart to flee
His family went out with him
But those who mocked remained
His wife looked back as they were fleeing
And a pillar of salt she became
CHORUS
To illustrate the final fate upon this world foretold
But cast them down to be chained and imprisoned
And if God brought a flood upon the world of old
Then remember the examples that burned
Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes were turned
To make them illustrate
The final fiery fate
In the coming Tribulation Great upon this world foretold
