The Lord God made a garden a long, long time ago
And there He put the man He formed and made two trees to grow
The tree of life was pure and good, but in the other tree
Good was mixed with evil, and man was going to see that
CHORUS
Evil mixed with goodness starts a trend
That leads to only evil in the end
And in the process of time
The earth would be filled with violence and crime
’Cause when evil and good combine
The end is death
The serpent was most subtle, man listened to his voice
Then evil mixed with goodness when error was his choice
So Adam had two children, and one was wicked Cain
One was righteous Abel, and goodness would be slain, ’cause
CHORUS
And by the days of Noah, God could only see
Evil, only evil, in the earth continually
The blame went to the serpent, above all he was cursed
’Cause everything that God had made was very good at first, but
CHORUS
The Lord God made a garden a long, long time ago
And there He put the man He formed, and made two trees to grow
The lesson now is written, and man must learn to choose
To keep the way of goodness, the way of sin refuse, ’cause
CHORUS
Evil mixed with goodness starts a trend
That leads to only evil in the end
And in the process of time
The earth would be filled with violence and crime
’Cause when evil and good combine
’Cause when evil and good combine
’Cause when evil and good combine
The end is death
And there He put the man He formed and made two trees to grow
